All "debates" featuring Robert Wright are disappointing, mostly because it's impossible to understand what positions he actually holds. Both Harris and Hitchens has stated this. That and Robert's constant whining make his debates almost impossible to listen to. Also, it seems like Sam didn't prepare at all for this one.

In both Robert and Sam's defense, the debate question was quite vague. I do (to some extent) agree with you about Robert but I have to say that I've come to appreciate his 'thinking out loud' style. I particularly enjoyed his debate with Hitchens (Clash of the Civilized diavlog).

Oh and ill pull a debate move, before you can battle this, we see the people that do "bomb" immigrants in America as crazy people and the opposite is true for Muslims. Now, if it were in our bible that we would go to martyr heaven and get all the things we could dream for and want, BET you suicide bombing would not be looked at as "crazy" but "honorable" and everyone else would think we are insane. Thank you...Religion. It's not just one, its all (except Buddhism if that is considered a religon)

All I hear from Robert Wright is a bunch of bullshit that skips over anything relevant, he's like most religious people. They take a full logical statement, and instead of acknowledging the entire statement, they take a segment of it, act as if it was a statement in of itself, and pick apart at that. How do people buy into this shit?

"Suicide bombing is caused by occupation, with people feeling their land is being occupied by people who don't deserve it." You're right Americans suicide bomb mexicans, asians, indians, etc. every day! We hear about it like always...no, unfortunately our bible doesnt say that if we suicide bomb the "infidels" we will get 72 virgins and go to a martyr heaven. The Quran does though! nice way to avoid what Sam Harris was going to bring to the table, your bullshit doesn't work on me though ;).

Because many on the political left have an insane and masochistic desire to defend Islam and Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, and Christopher Hitchens refuse to make excuses for Islamic bigotry

this video is basically content free.. anyone who isn't a Harris nerd, should skip to video 2 as the first 3 minutes are a woman whooping. then some guy does 4 mins of introduction, then Wright begins to speak, immediately stopping to spend ~4 mins dicking with the audio, then spends the remaining ~3 minutes talking about how bad he's about to outwit Sam... there are 'cat sees reflection' videos with more content than this waste of 14mins.
