We work together through voluntary cooperation. Man needs to be free. You can't get what you want by participating voluntarily. You have to use government to force people to cooperate with you. There is not one ounce of liberty in that paradigm. We already have shared responsibilities, and one of the most important ones is to guard personal liberty from fascists. Fascism is ANY action that seeks special privilege from government for any group or special interest.

The state, or village as you call it also can be the most vicious, coercive monster in existence. "Villages" have killed more people than any form of pestilence in historical record combined.
