Operating continuously and open to the public, Lake Hood is the world's largest and busiest float plane base, handling an average of 190 flights per day. In winter when the lake freezes over and it continues to be used by the by planes only on skis. A short clip of a few take-offs and landing on a beautiful summer day.

@yabodmon That's a flight that's better left off to a commercial carrier. No restrooms in these aircraft, only the bucket you bring with you, lol..........

The DHC-2 as in the clip travels between 145 and 160 mph depending on cargo load and directional windspeed. You can compare your car trip/speed for comparitive driving time.

@Mackatax eh man ur a pilot ? can u tell me how long in would take to travel in one of these from ontario to alberta if u have any idea? it takes 1 day 18 hours by car! just off the top of your head? thanks man.

Is this a cessna It's like our AN-2 but this plane droning too little loudly. But native is marvellous!
