I agree with you to some extend but Silver Chair.. Is primarily grunge. Have you heard their older songs such as "Tomorrow"? Besides that "Straight Lines" bullshit, pretty grunge-ish band.
Foo Fighters aren't primarily grunge but do have some grunge aspects to a lot of their songs. In fact, a couple of their songs could be defined as grunge entirely. I do agree with Seether not being grunge though. That is definitely a different genre.

No, actually I wouldn't put Seether and Foo Fighters in the top 5, both are somehow Nirvana Rip-Offs. Foo Fighters is really lame "good mood"-music and Shaun Morgan tries not to be Shaun Morgan, he tries to be Kurt Cobain. And that 's not allowed in Grunge.
