I hate how religion teaches people, especially young girls and women to be ashamed of their sexuality. Sex is a wonderful and healthy thing. It's been shown that people who have more sex are happier and it's a great way of getting exercise. It feels GOOD and as long as it is not used in a way that will hurt anyone, I see nothing wrong whether you do it after OR BEFORE marriage. This is all just a way of getting girls to submit to men and be ashamed of themselves.

This practice is pretty disgusting. Let's just call this what it is. Americans have figured out the Brazillian method of keeping virginity in tact, do it everywhere but the pussy.

American parents need to grow up about the topic of sexuality. Parents in other countries don't do this shit. They realise that children at some point will become sexually active and it's best you prepare them the right way or someone will introduce them to it the wrong way.

Pretty soon they'll have them wearing chastity belts again. Why do some religious people feel the need to always look backward instead of forward? If you teach your children the right way, not hiding from the issue of sex like it satan himself, but explaining to them the way things work. Teach them contraception. Educate them on STDs. Americans are to afraid of sexuality especially when it comes to their children.

Americans need to start giving their kids more credit, they can handle the info.

the bible actually doesn't say anything about feeling ashamed about it. the bible teaches that women should be virtuous. not give it out to everyone. dress in a way that makes you look respectable and not like a slut. i have never read in the bible that i should be ashamed of having sex or the way i dress. only that i should be mindful of how i go about it. it's not the teachings themselves that teach girls that they should be ashamed of themselves it's the teachers who teach it

The problem is this: If a teenage girl gets pregrant there are many negative consequences for her and her family. If a teenage guy gets a girl pregnant this is a much less serious problem for that family (proving paternity is a bit more complicated). I'm not saying that's fair but it is a logical consequence of how sexual reproduction works. Of course I think the sperm donor should man up and accept responsibility, but that does not change that fact that it often doesn't happen.
