This is the only composition of the famous Ukrainian pianist Shura Cherkassky, composed when he was 11 years old. Played by Robert Finley at a recital in the Pepsico Recital Hall of Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, during Pianotexas, June 2008

  • Very interesting - as it shows so many influences from music he was so well-known for playing. Cherkassky was never a "look at me" kind of pianist and was such a gentle, innocent person... it is nice to see that the music reflects that.
