@Tenderace the bright blue stuff is the latex dye that was injected into the veins to make them easier to reconize from arteries. sometimes if you cut or tear the vein the dye will leak out

And it's not Subclaven, or however the hell you would spell that non-exisant word. It's subclavian. Long I at the end.
