Fight Against Antifreeze Poisoning in Children and Pets

Little girl in East Tennessee takes a stand after losing two of her beloved dogs to Intentional Antifreeze Poisoning in May 2007. Since then, she has been on a crusade to have makers of antifreeze put a bittering agent in the liquid making it taste horrible to pets and children. Doing this will cost only 2 cents per gallon, in turn saving tens of thousands of pets per year and hundreds of small children. my cat coma yesterday at veterinar centre,doctor said his kidney is damaged and level of toxic in blood test is high (160),his mouth got ulser and smell really bad,after discussion with doctor i agree to put him to sleep bcoz he is dying within 3 days if iv fluid is remove,im not sure if he got antifreeze poisoning?

One other point. The government insists by strict law that ethyl alcohol (booze) produced for industry (much low tax) be denatured, or (poisoned). So it does not get consumed by people, thus cheating the government out of liquor tax. When it comes to our own selfish greed it's all about money, money, money. and f**k any conscientiousness to preserve life. Ethylene Glycol used in consumer products such as antifreeze should be "denatured" by law to taste like shit.

I'll never understand the lack of compassion in the human race when money is involved. I've tasted anti freeze by incident when I had to siphon some and it is very sweet. It is an absolute no brainer that stuff is going to be consumed by the unwary. It is despicable that people that use this to manufacture their products do nothing to reduce the accidental poisoning of children and pets. It is a horrific waste of lives and tragedy endured by the ones who miss them.
