Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum argued that the left uses colleges for 'indoctrination' of students while speaking at the First Baptist Church in Florida. Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur break it down.

  • Rick Santorum's stupidity is staggering to say the least. He needs to be made aware that all religions are a form of indoctrination.

  • @ericashaebrock Also, evolution isn't a hypothesis. In science, words have specific meanings. Evolution is a scientific theory. A scientific theory is a model backed by overwhelming observations, which can be used to make testable predictions. The theory of evolution has been used countless times to make testable predictions which have proved true. Hence until now, the theory works, and it's one of the most consistent theories we've ever come up with. Works every time.

  • Colleges educate. Religion relies on ignorance.

He's right. College wakes people up lol

  • Well hey there Aspect Mcratio Haven;t seen you in awhile

  • Satanorum?

  • I don't know what's worse, the anti-intellectual drivel spewing from Santorum's mouth, or the applause that follows.

  • I bet Rick Santorum has had Santorum dripping from his ass many times before.

  • Coming across a video with page after page of two people arguing with each other really puts me off commenting on the topic...surely you can make your point without clogging up the comments section with these repetitive arguments??

  • @KOICrowz@KOICrowz The early texts weren't pushed as literally true until Martin Luther and John Calvin came along in the 15th century.

Yes, of course I believe those who have interpretations that differ from my own are wrong. If I didn't believe what I believed I wouldn't believe what I believe.

I meant divinely inspired. I ran out of space and shortened it.

Yes, they both teach about God.

  • @jmhizon83 Santorum is not a real christian. Being a believer does not make you an absolutist, it's quite the opposite.

  • @KOICrowz By the way, I missed one of your earlier posts. Jesus is God, so he is entirely necessary.

  • @KOICrowz For example, we use the story of a boy who kept lying about wolfs to demonstrates the consequences of lying. That story probably didn't happen, but the truth about lying is still the truth. One clearly knows that the story is most likely not literally true and doesn't have to be. The purpose wasn't to tell the story of the boy it was to portray the truth about lying.
