Ponseti Clubfoot - Joshua at 10 Years of Age (long version)

Joshua Egbert was born in 1999 with bilateral clubfoot. At 6 weeks of age, his parents took him to the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics where he was treated with the Ponseti "non-surgical" method. By 2 1/2 months of age, his feet were corrected. The videos are of Joshua at 10 years of age. Joshua hopes that the 150,000 other children born with Clubfoot each year can recieve treatment with the Ponseti method. Hey Josh,

I'm 22 and I also was born with bilateral clubbed feet. You remind me of me growing up playing sports and staying active. Due to our condition, our ankles our more prone to injury due to less range of motion and strength. I would like to recommend that you strengthen them through heel and toe raises and stretch your leg muscles every day in order to gain more functionality and range of motion. I was made fun of my whole life for having skinny legs, so don't feel left out if thats happ

hey joshua i just want to say that i look up to people like you to just push through to do anthing that you want to and people tell me things i can and can do but dont let any person EVER tell you that nor friend stranger or even your ones who you love i am happy that they some how from the grace of god fixed you disability god bless you and allways think if things get hard push though if you fail try... try again
