Seattle Mariners Opening Day 4/14/09 Safeco Field -- Griffey's Return!

Part of the opening ceremonies for the Seattle Mariners, Tuesday, April 14th, 2009 at Safeco Field in Seattle, Washington. Note the pronounced ovation for Ken Griffey, Jr. in his first game back to Seattle as a Mariner, starting at about the 2:50 mark.

I went to the first six home games of the Mariners' season, three against the Los Angeles Angels and three against the Detroit Tigers. Witnessed Griffey's 400th home run as a Mariner, a grand slam home run by Ichiro Suzuki (who also got a big ovation during this ceremony even though he was still on the DL that day), and lots of other fun stuff.
