yeah I agree, Salvatore first mimics the ugliness of the devil, then points at his face. "Ugly as Salvatore, eh?"
-
Yes, he's saying "ugly come Salvatore, huh?", that is "ugly as Salvatore, huh?". I also think he's not saying "la mort e supremos", but "la morte e' sopra a noi" instead, or maybe "la morte e' supra nobis", as suggested by Saga. The translation in both cases is "death is upon us"

@rippedandfunky In my opinion he said "ugly cum Salvatore". You're right that "Cum" means "with". Therefore, in this case, "Cum" should be read as "come" in Italian ("as" in english). So, the text should sound in english like "[the devil is as] ugly AS Salvatore". Pay attention: in the scene Salvatore did an impression of the devil, showing the tongue. Then he stated "ugly cum Salvatore" pointing to himself and, finally, did again the impression.

i don't think he's saying ugly cum salvatore. it'd mean ugly with salvatore (cum, latin for with). I think he's saying "habli cum salvatore" habli = spanish for you speak. so: you're speaking with salvatore. like he's infact itroducing himself to Slater.

Greatest performance he's ever done, and so underrated :( Deserves more than a pat on the back for this masterpiece.

it's a call to repentence, but it was significant because a few years before this story takes place there had been a violent revolt that involved the followers of Fra Dolcino attacking all of the rich and powerful in the name of an egalitarian poverty semi-inspired by the franciscan movement. they were extremely violent, considered heretics, and by association the franciscan order of monks was nearly banned by the church authorities. Salvatore is using their call, so he was with the heretics.
