The engine is factory 1.8 GSI 16V DOHC 150 hp, these are very rare, at least in Europe. Identical engine in the Lotus cars that generation

@Milosh032 how sure are you that it's the 1.8L? that body is a 90/91 GSi body style, and only came with a 1.6L DOHC 16v. do you have a picture of the engine in the car? or maybe say what the engine code stamped on the block is? your exhaust note also has a 1.6 sound to it. either way the GSi is a fun car, with either motor in it.

@rockerdude29 these cars are rev happy, as in they can handle rpms quite well. especially just revving it up, redline on the 1.6 is 7700 rpm, and 7000 on the 1.8, it sounds like this guy is only getting up to about 5-6000 rpm. either way the revlimiter will kick in before any damage is done.

nice car but you better ease up on the revving,those lil DOHC 4 bangers tend to go BOOM if you beat on them too hard,hell I dont even run my pushrod V8 that hard lol.

there a dime a dozen over here i just went got a motor out the wrecking for my 92 base there was seven there and a few more at each of the other 6 yards

1.8l gsi? looks like you have a 90/91 GSi which is a 1.6l Dohc. Did you swap a 92/93 Gsi engine? Does not sounds like the Dohc. Why do you say its a limited edition?
