That's great news and I hope each day is better than the last. Can you describe how his injury? Will he recover enough to not need the cart?
Oscar is such a cutie and reminds me of my Penny - red with a gorgeous frosty face. Her tail wags constantly, too. Must be something about the reds? Gotta love 'em!
You can see my guys Willy and Schatzie on my one and only video if you need a giggle someday (I laugh at them, anyway. lol)
He has an autoimmune condition and it caused arthritis in his shoulders. They are completely frozen. He can't move his shoulders at all & his legs(from the elbow down)are buckled. The tendons no longer support his legs so he can barely walk. He is on a low doseage of Pred for the Autoimmune which keeps him in remission & keeps him from hurting. He is also on glucosamine w/chondroitin. He seems to be in good health otherwise..bloodwork is good and he is a happy boy. He will be 13 in November :)
Thanks for telling us all about Oscar. Hopefully he'll have many more healthy years ahead of him; he's got a great chance with you to love him! My best to you both.
Wonderful video! I have never seen a cart for dogs who've lost the use of their front end, and it's fabulous!
You really CAN teach old dogs new tricks; and yes, the way to a man's heart IS through his stomach.
Good for you, Oscar. Keep up the good work!
Mom, you're the best!

Thanks Adrienne! He seems to be getting a little better each day. We're still fine-tuning it to make it easier for him to navigate. :)
