@GoblinsFriend Siobhan wasn't frozen out, she got married and wasn't there. It was like Nadine in GA, you can't be a band if one of you isn't there and isn't interested. Siobhan was living in LA and regretted signing up with SAW, even though she was happy enough at first.I think marrying Dave Stewart was the problem because she took herself too seriously, she did not work well with Pete Waterman. I think that was who You're History was aimed at. Shakespeare's Sister was a trap for her.
@emmyjo720 -- Yes, that seems strange, since Soibhan's exit was due to that fact -- Sarah and Keren were too tight and ended up freezing her out.
Pop Life may have actually been Bananarama's best album, but aesthetically, Jacqui was such a mistake -- she came from the midlands or north, and was too exotic and contrasted with Keren and Sarah's Edwardian good looks.
@GoblinsFriend Jacqui was forced on them, it didn't work when Sarah and Keren have been best friends since the age of four and wanted to continue as a duo...
This song's really good - though copied from Eurythmics's "Missionary Man", edited some 4 years before. And we all can notice something's going wrong on the stage - Jacqui is not dressed like her counterparts and she moves in a bizarre way...
@jxcancan Jackie never looked right. All the original members had an Edwardian beauty. Jackie was from the north and had that northern exotic look. I was so glad when she left the band and Bananarama became a duo.
LOL--this was the girls' "slut phase."

Artistically, probably their best single, from their best album. They worked with some great people on the album.
