In this brilliant one-minute excerpt, Mad Men captures how Pitch Meetings can go tragically wrong. Professional ad executive Peggy Olson developed professional-quality creative work for a middle-school dance and pitches it to two classic church ladies who, inevitably, suggest major changes. This hilariously painful clip shows precisely what happens when the client is not in a position to make a good decision.

Everyone has an opinion, and to them it feels entirely valid -- regardless of their lack of expertise or foundation.

Clients won't simply "take your word for it as an expert." They shouldn't. It's our job as the experts to provide them with the education necessary to make an informed decision. It takes longer, but it's one of the most-important steps in the process.
