  • Simply stunning! Never seen anything as authentic or nostalgic.

  • slightly larger track on 00 but doesn't make much difference on most trains, but some trains have to be converted from HO to oo and vice versa because of the flanges.

  • awesome

  • Very nice. Just to let you know. Bachmann UK has released a 57xx Pannier shunter in London Transport livery

  • @JBofBrisbane - Interesting, haven't touched model railways for a couple of years but have a few Bachmann models which are definitely closer to the mark. Was even thinking of mods with lower powered motors or something, because even at full controller power it would be an equivalent to 200+mph! It's just not real. Also with starting you may get a stutter or two (need a better controller tbh).

Something to work on anyhow. Flywheels (which Bachs have already?) seems a good tip.

    Cheers

  • @amtrc - London Underground actually has four rails - two running rails, the live supply rail outside the running rails (left or right side), and the return conductor rail in the middle. The modeller has replicated this in miniature.

  • @Oscarell - HO scale is 1:87, OO scale is 1:76.2. Track gauge for both is 16.5mm.

HO model would be 7/8 the size of a OO model of the same item.

  • @LikeMindedIncident - you need to look at American models - flywheels make the difference.

  • @MCTurbostar - what?!? HO and OO are both 16.5mm gauge - usually both Code 100 rail (0.100" tall). Sure the scale of the rollingstock is larger in OO, but the rails aren't unless you're going down to Code 83 or 70.

  • Everything is great but where is the day model trains will move more realistically? This is one of the best I've seen (this was uploaded 2006!) although I know things are getting better for stopping and starting trains.

  • This is top of London Transport vision. That is very awesome!!!

  • @daleksec53 wrong one mate its a mix of stations
