@SD760NC Not everyone was racist as hell, unless you lived in the South. And no, today doesn't suck that bad, BUT we have gotten way, way ahead ourselves and we got here too fast for a lot of things and not fast enough for others. Not all progress is good and you can't dispute the fact that times were simpler back then and crime, white collar or other was not as rampant. There was a lot more respect toward women and elderly back then, today it seems like it's all for one's self.

Just because some of the music is stupid in our generation doesnt mean that the times we live in suck.... back in the 50s we were still racist as shit... our generation is the result of harsh restrictions that went on back then kinda like a independance movement. is it good or bad? it depends but people need to stop wishing that they could live in a different time and work towards making today better
