Police say there is a fifty percent chance that someone under the age of 21 will be able to purchase liquor in San Mateo county, that is why they have launched a new program using state grant money in an attempt to lower the numbers....in this edition of "People Behaving Badly" Stanley Roberts rode with the task force to see which businesses were caught in a decoy operation.... The first of its kind in San Mateo County.....

Have you guys seen cartoon network lately and seen an alcohol commercial for some sport or professional sport as in boxing, wrestling and cage fighting. We advertise and then get mad when they do what we say.

In some places internationally, the legal drinking age IS 18; however, the people under 21 think that they can buy alcohol anywhere in the world. When I was 19, I went to Florida with my family, ordered a beer, and the waitress carded me, then I learned my lesson.

This is why you dont delegate the private sector to sell controlled substances like liquor. They're all in it for the money

Now I know which stores to try. Those "minors" don't even look like average teens 15-17 they look 20. Btw the legal drinking age should be 18.

In some stores here in the city, there is a sign with words to the effect of: "If you're trying to buy liquor or tobacco of any kind, and you appear to be under 30, well then we're going to have to ask you to show some ID -- and hence proof that you are indeed of age. In other words: No ID, No Liquor, No Tobacco, No Argument. It's the Law. Period. Next in line, please?"

Wow, you must be really stupid to serve alcohol to a minor.

If I have to show id to buy allergy meds that are behind the counter, then everyone buying alcohol should have to show id.
