Who will love a little Sparrow? Who's traveled far and cries for rest? "Not I," said the Oak Tree, "I won't share my branches with no sparrow's nest, And my blanket of leaves won't warm her cold breast."
Who will love a little Sparrow And who will speak a kindly word? "Not I," said the Swan, "The entire idea is utterly absurd, I'd be laughed at and scorned if the other Swans heard."
Who will take pity in his heart, And who will feed a starving sparrow? "Not I," said the Golden Wheat, "I would if I could but I cannot I know, I need all my grain to prosper and grow."
Who will love a little Sparrow? Will no one write her eulogy? "I will," said the Earth, "For all I've created returns unto me, From dust were ye made and dust ye shall be."

The sparrow symbolizes a lot of things for alot of people. I grew up listening to my older cousin singing 'fly on little sparrow' and he was always out of key...aaarr. Joel and Nicole have a wonderful and beautiful life and having little Sparrow join their world is a symbol of that happiness. I wish them all the best!
it's actually quite poetic that Joel posted this song on Twitter for his son. Maybe the world wont accept him because of who his parents are or because he was born out of wed-lock or for whatever reason, but the earth from where he was made (his parents) will always accept him. Their little Sparrow.
first of all he was not boenout of "wedlock" they are very legally married and have been for some time and why would the world not accept him because of his parents are they Jeff Dahmer and his wife?? Wow check your facts before putting it in writing!
Who will love a little Sparrow? Will no one write her eulogy? "I will," said the Earth, "For all I've created returns unto me, From dust were ye made and dust ye shall be."
the ending is uplifting! and you shouldn't assume things about people! I always think of little sparrow by dolly parton when I think of sparrow.
