I'm a soldier in the Army, and had to take this test. THANK YOU tyt for doing a story on this. i was incredibly irritated by this. I'm even a christian, but that aside, who is anybody to tell me what my "spiritual fitness" is? Honestly, this isnt even the worst part. Theres also mandatory saturday training alot of soldiers are being forced to sit through based on this concept. It's extrememly irritating, offensive, and insults my intelligence.

The argument that people with low 'spiritual fitness' are less able to withstand the stress of the battlefield is not only woefully misinformed but insulting to those who have, can, and will. As many who do fall into this generalization replace religious or spiritual superstition with other coping mechanisms, or comforts such as family, loved ones, and friends. Even simple pleasures as coffee, cigarettes, exercise, hobbies...etc. This madness of 'sf' has also spread into some college. classes

@kueagle1 Provide the fucking evidence. I highly doubt that someone praying in the middle of a battlefield has a higher chance to survive than someone trying to materially alter the situation.
