Vandy-TSU: More Than Just a Game

History was made Sept. 23 when Vanderbilt and Tennessee State University met on the gridiron for the first time. But, after this game, everyone left a winner.

We were at that game. Because of the rain, the field show was cancelled so the bands played in the end zone. The game was alot closer than the score showed; TSU's defense spent too much time on the field and the bottom dropped out during the 4th quarter. But you know the Crats did there thing in the stands. My hubby was and is so proud of the Crats and his alum and you better believe we give back to the school's scholarship programs.

why does everyone want to see these HBCUs get destroyed by legit D1 teams? is history the only reason? or is it because of the payouts to these HBCUs for just playing the game?

I was also at this game! I sat right next to TSU 's Band at the top, we clowned in the rain the whole time! Man they put on a great show that night. What was really crazy, is that TSU almost won! It was close until the last 5 mins of the game. Thanks STATE for another good memory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!
