Russia, Mongolia share archives

When in March, 1992 Mr.Byambasuren, former Prime Minister of Mongolia, visited Russia, Mongolian and Russian governments agreed their mutual cooperation on archiving. Within this agreement, Mongolian and Russian Archiving Joint commission was established.
During its score years, many fundamental activities in exchanging archive materials of both countries' state histories, publishing valuable historically-oriented books and materials, and organizing archive materials exhibitions in both countries etc.
Copying historical facts and evidences-all witnessed Mongolian history, archived in the Russian state archive centers, is beneficial to enrich Mongolian National Archive's fund. About 14 thousand pages materials and facts have been transferred to Mongolian archives by Russian counterparts.

This bilateral agreement allows great opportunity to study historically valuable facts which are related to both countries' politics, economics, and culture.

Efficient studying historical facts and evidences in the Russian archives held contribution towards making right and reliable decisions on hard misunderstanding between Mongolian and Russian governments.
For example, our huge debts accumulated for communist era to the Russian government, acquitting those who were communist Mongolian prime ministers assassinated in Soviet Union, and establishing new agreement on Russian and Mongolian joint copper plant Erdenet.

Within activities of the joint commission, our 100 archive workers were sent to Russian counterparts, in order to exchange experiment on archiving updated documentation since 2002.
