Ms. Kia Scherr addresses the Global Peace Leadership Forum 2

Ms. Scherr stunned world audiences during international media appearances when she refused to condemn the Islamic terrorists who murdered her husband and 13 year old daughter in the Mumbai, India terrorist attack. She has co-founded a non-profit organization, One Life Alliance, dedicated to inspiring the conversation to honor the sacredness of life, first in ourselves and then in each other. Ms. Scherr's personal story is riveting.

Ms. Scherr went on to speak more about the sacredness of life, that life itself transcends all differences. Ms. Scherr also spoke to the topic of forgiveness, and how difficult it was for the journalists to understand why she wouldn't condemn the terrorists. She made the point that forgiveness doesn't mean condoning the act of murder.
