In an October 30, 2007 debate, Sen. Clinton defended her support for the Kyl-Lieberman amendment which declared the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization.
Who are we to tell Iran they can't have nuclear weapons, when we've certainly allowed Israel to have nuclear weapons under the table? Saudi Arabia has nukes. Last time I checked, the 9/11 hijackers were Saudis. Pakistan has nukes. Iran likely wants nukes to defend itself from a US invasion of their country, like what we did to Iraq. And who can blame them?
Obama supporters all boo Hillary for being tough on Iran and voting to label them a terrorist organization. Meanwhile, it's now June 2008 and guess who has come out swinging at Iran with sanctions, boycotts and calling them a terrorist organization? BARACK OBAMA.
Obama has also said that he is for sanctions as well. This argument by clinton is so flawed. The reason that Obama was against this bill is because he didn't want to make the same mistakes as in Iraq. This it could possible be used to pave the way for war. Clinton says that this bill is used for sanctions and then said that if she would have known that she was voting for the war in 2003 she wouldn't have done it. It shows her naivity and that she hasn't learned her lesson.
This is what we need. Strong sanctions on Iran. Clinton is right. Obama's foreign policy stance is to allow Iran to go nuclear. He's soft on terrorism. If he wins the White House, the security of the nation is in danger.
