Love PHANTOM? Don't want to a see a nonsensical sequel in which Raoul becomes a drunkard, Meg becomes a murderer, Christine becomes a slut and the Phantom becomes a composer of trashy vaudeville?
You're not alone.
Visit LoveShouldDie [dot] com to find out the awful truth behind the non-awaited sequel, denounced by the estate of PHANTOM's original author, condemned by PHANTOM fans everywhere and ridiculed by the international press.

I saw LND in the Adelphi and found it very enjoyable and far superior to the CD. When the show comes to the states, see it before you make more judgements.
Don't see it as a gothic romance like Phantom1, but as an interesting tale of redemption, You'll be far happier that way.

LND is a bunch of crap put together by Alw!

@garrychelsea i have to agree with you it is a very good show the actors and the music andrew wants to change the ending for broadway.i dont know how they can talk about the show ,when they havent seen it

@MarianbkL As I said above in response to someone else, I simply felt that the changes were very drastic and usually audiences (whether they be readers or a crowd watching a performance) are allowed to view the development instead of being presented with what appears to be the end product of a developing stage. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Why does everyone have to bring Obama into unrelated debates?

remember that 10 years ago the thought of a black man being president of america would have been met with disbelief, yet it happened, but the characters from phantom develop, and have life changes yet people think that is unbelieveable, and unacceptable,go figure
THANK YOU. I agree so, so much. And so do thousands of other people :)
Bravo!

it is a great show with beautiful music and amazing performances by all the leads. it really is worth seeing before commenting, its not objective to do a rant until you have experienced it. i found it better than phantom.and both times i have been it got standing ovations from the audience, i think that so called phans are never going to like it, but to deny yourself the chance of seeing a beautiful production because you dont agree with the story is surely wrong, characters develop,

@garrychelsea I agree that the music is stunning, but I will not have an opportunity to see the show in the States for a while, and because I am a college student I really don't have the money to attend a performance. I'm not denying myself seeing it, it's just not logistically possible for me to see it.

True. But on the flip side, who are we to say that the characters are not human and cannot succumb (probably misspeled =) ) to alcoholism etc. I personally love to see characters that seemed perfect challenged to better themselves. Idk, my personal opinion I loved it! :) But I do see where you are coming from!

@AnatloyChessPlayer Same here! I love seeing characters take the ultimate tumble into self-destruction or despair. I guess I'm just having trouble accepting that characters I have enjoyed for so long have gone through this immediate, radical transition. Wish I could have seen some of the events that led to their changes over the ten years, maybe then I would have a better understanding. Thanks for sharing your opinion though and I understand what you're saying!
