@anvilsring I agree, the movie really captured a typical "navy" town with the seedy bars and apartments. I was stationed near Seattle where this movie supposededly took place, in the early 80's and the town I was stationed in, Bremerton, was a lot like this. A lot of the extras, the especially the sailors in the pool hall scene must've been real navy guys.
More than any movie, Cinderella Liberty caught the feel of being in the Navy for me back then. Reminds me of my duty in San Diego, when it was a real fleet town! Thanks for posting!
Just watched this classic the other night on TBS. John Williams song was originally titled "You're So Nice To Be Around." Marsha Mason is an astoundingly talented actress, and James Caan, well he's "James Caan!" Great pic. Thanks for this upload. 2 thumbs up!
yes, quite a classic... this scene is very poignant, she so deliberate and unchangeable, given life's circumstances...two messed up people come together for a little while. One ready to love, the other....too scared to stick it out a little longer.
