Bible Talk: Gay Is Not OK! (Prop 8)

Bible Talk returns! This time, the topic is Gay Marriage. Leviticus tells us that when man lays with man, it is an abomination before god. Besides that one, Jesus, says somewhere in the Bible that Gay is not OK... and probably something about gay marriage too. Now, even if some of you atheists try to say that Jesus didn't say that, well then you just admitted that Jesus exists and therefore I win. Besides, if Jesus didn't say Gay Marriage is not OK, I'm sure he meant it. If that isn't reason enough to vote No on proposition 8 to stop gay marriage, then you must not be a good Christian.

Speaking of which, I'm trying to figure this out. California's proposition 8 is the "gay marriage proposition" so it would seem that if I am against gay marriage I should vote no, right?

Furthermore, if we do pass the gay marriage proposition, then the schools would teach our children that gay marriage is OK. Then our children would all grow up gay. The human race hangs in the balance. If all our kids turn gay, then humans will die out! Besides, think about this. We gave black people the right to marry white people a few decades back and now we might even have a black president. If we give gays the right to marry, then someday we might have a gay president. The gay people would probably make laws forcing us all to be gay. So whatever you do, do not vote for gay marriage. Vote no on prop 8... or is it yes. No, I'm pretty sure. If you hate gay people, then vote no on prop 8. Yea, that's how it is.

Since, I am pretty sure that all the homophobes aren't reading this description, I can go ahead now and come back to reality. I initially titled this video Yes on 8, hoping that it would attach to other Yes on 8 videos... but since I wouldn't want to help out anyone who is a big enough lunatic to actually agree with this position I wanted to make sure I blurred the line about how to vote on 8.

I was sitting in Starb... oops, a coffee shop near my house recently and I overheard a group of three older women discussing propositions and one of them had sent in her absentee ballot voting No on 8 because her church is against gay marriage. Her friend told her it was the other way around, that she should have voted yes on Prop 8. I quietly laughed to myself while they debated whether a yes was in favor of gay marriage or whether no was against gay marriage. I, of course, did not take the time to clear up the confusion. Afterward, I thought, maybe I should have interjected and insisted that a No vote was indeed the way to vote if they wanted to stop gay marriage... so there it is.

Also, I have weighed in on the gay marriage issue 2 or 3 times already, so I figured I would take a slightly different approach on this video. I hope it wasn't too far over the top. I actually taped this one about 4 or 5 times, until I was happy enough with the result. (A couple of them were definitely over the top!)

Anyway, it looks like I have been typing longer than it actually took for the video to upload, which is extremely rare, and means that YouTube will actually save my description box now. Good. All right. All this typing was not in vain. The upload mechanism is in fact improving. Keep it up YouTube.

Oh yea, and happy halloween. I guess for Halloween, I am acting like a crazy christian. Not that all christians are crazy! Just the one I portray in this video... and probably a few others out there.

Well for the record I'm not in a place to judge but for all those wondering where the bible says it it is in Leviticus 18:22, and Leviticus 20:13 and it shouldn't be done but nothing is new under the sun. It's been done before. I have a thought that maybe it's like Marijuana. Are people doing it because they enjoy or because they're nonconformists and have to feel rebellious? And not all people are homophobes, just god-fearing people.There's a saying Love the sinner but hate the sin.
