Découvrez la véritable histoire des Cathares. Ce spectacle événement, joué dans le cadre féerique de la Cité médiévale de Carcassonne, retrace la Croisade contre les Cathares.

La trilogie des spectacles CATHARES est, pour le Groupe OC, l'aboutissement de longues années de réflexions basées sur un patient travail de recherches et de création. L'écriture s'appuie sur des textes originaux, tirés des archives où ils étaient enfouis et sur une connaissance pointue de la société du XIIIème.
Grâce aux technologies modernes, ces documents d'époque trouvent vie en grand format de projection et d'animation.

Soucieux de restituer dans ses créations, le témoignage du passé par l'expression de ses racines, le Groupe OC a choisi de fabriquer à l'identique les instruments utilisés par les troubadours associés aux palettes de sons actuelles. Vibrez au son des musiques envoûtantes du Groupe OC et pénétrez dans les couloirs du temps, pour découvrir la véritable histoire des Cathares.


MASSACRE DE BÉZIERS
Pour l'occasion en particulier, le Groupe OC utilise les véritables sources de l'Histoire - essentiellement la "Chanson de la croisade contre les Albigeois", ou Canso, en vers occitans -, mais aussi les chroniques de Pierre des Vaux de Cernay et de Guillaume de Puylaurens, associées à des techniques au plus près de la modernité.

The Crusade Episode 1 (1209)

Discover the true story of the Cathars. This spectacular show, performed in the magical setting of the medieval town of Carcassonne, maps out the Crusade against Cathars.

The trilogy shows CATHARES is for the OC group, the culmination of years of thinking based on a painstaking research and creation. The writing is based on original texts from the archives where they were buried and a deep understanding of the society of the thirteenth.
Thanks to modern technology, these documents are then living in large format projection and animation.

Anxious to return in his creations, the testimony of the past by the expression of its roots, the OC Group has chosen to manufacture the same instruments used by the troubadours associated with the current palette of sounds. Feel the sound of haunting music of the OC group and enter the corridors of time to discover the true history of the Cathars.


MASSACRE OF BÉZIERS
Especially for the event, the Group uses the OC real sources of history - essentially the "Song of the Crusade against the Albigensians," or Canso, to Occitan - but also reviews of Pierre des Vaux de Cernay and Guillaume de Puylaurens, combined with techniques closest to modernity.
