Now’s the time to SAY NO TO RAVEN COAL...If you dont want a large coal storage terminal built in a residential and Tsunami zone..pleas attend!

  • @juicestain47 i just moved to portalberni from nanoose bay, i would always come camping here...im only bored at night when i dont have anything to do in my garage, during the day its either dirtbiking trucking or many other things ive only lived here for like 2 weeks

  • port can be the best or the worst, all in how you look at things. for the people who think P.A is Boring, maybe you are boring. there is always something to do, no matter where you live.

  • For those that think PA is boring.... get out more.

There is so many community led events, take a class through Echo, volunteer with one of the many groups in town. When you get involve you won't have time to say you're bored.

  • Oh, and for those who think its boring (i lived there, yes it is), feel better. I now live part time in Dawson Creek and there is even LESS to do. Bet you didn't think that was possible eh? No donut shop, no drags, they do have a fall fair (i missed it), no 4x4 races, no lookout, poor excuses for hills (never mind "mountains" like they try to call them), very little forest... Makes Port look like a shining star!

  • Oh Port...The best part is wherever I go, somebody knows of the imfamous P.A, if not have lived there. Proof that people do escape the valley. I may not move back to Port, but I will always have a special place for that "special" place in my heart! :D

  • I live here.. What I like: Natural beauty and wilderness, Amazingly nice people. What I don't like: Nothing interesting to do, Limited shopping, Hideous downtown (although it's getting better), Poor waterfront (too much industrial), Bad movie theatre, and that stench in Northwest Port Alberni. Even though it's not the most beautiful city on the island and I listed more negatives than positives.. it still feels like home and I couldn't imagine living elsewhere.
