It's old, slightly broken, but fully analog. Watch as I wank out on this shabby old broken thing. Third and final installment of Coffeehouse synth demos.

    Are you serious? :O

I would go crazy when I saw it for that price!

  • @thesaintofelsewhere: Of coursethe Polysix is fully analog (6 x SSM2056 EG, 6 x SSM2044 VCF etc.) Even the Effect-Section is - wich is really nice. The later Poly61 has DCOs but analog Filter.

  • Only the filters are analog.

  • Nice sounds. I thought I heard a funny trigger on a key at one time near the beginning. If you have contact troubles check out the video I just posted. I've got a fix for these finally!

  • The power supply board on mine just took a dump, but I never had the battery issue, they sound great, love mine, I'll fix it and keep using it, awesome video, cool that it works even though it's that hammered, lol.

  • i found one in a thrift store for 40$

  • the chips inside only have a lifetime of around 15 years before they essentially rot. there are about 50 4000-series CMOS chips that might need replacing, using sockets for future repair.

  • ..."partly fuctionell". Mine functioned completely - exept the oscillators, you couldn't it anymore. It was like playing an oriental scale, so I gave it away for 100€(it couldnt be fixed).

  • IMy friend has a Polysix with the following problems:

    -16' footage plays 4'

-He told me the memory's dead

    -Scratchy pots (easy to repair)

-Higher keys have problem making contact (that's typical for the age)

-You can't turn off the LFO

can somebody please help us? it would be much appreciated. Thanks
