@C1Era My original comment said "Charge very low rent, just enough to cover costs of operating". It isn't a free ride, its an affordable place for people to stay till they can afford better. As for homeless shelters, have you been to one? They are generally quite dirty, unsafe and very restricted. Many have to turn people away. The local one here wont let you in till 5pm and not back out till 8am. That makes it impossible to have a job.

@yesiamanalien Yes, they have homeless shelters for people. If you don't know what a hooverville is look it up, it will give you some insight on this issue. If you give a bunch of homeless people free land i guarantee issues will arise.

@C1Era It is our duty as human beings to do what we can to help those less fortunate. Sometimes all some homeless people need is a safe play to sleep and get cleaned up so they can go look for work. Spread over the inhabitants of a city, a small parcel of land is pennies for each person. If you can afford a cup of coffee, you can afford to help. Drugs and crime rampant? I doubt it. Alcohol seems the drug of choice and it's mostly used to help deal with the shitty life on the streets.
-
@yesiamanalien Hahaha sounds like Hoovervilles during the great depression, not a good idea. The city paying for homeless people's land where crime and drug abuse is rampant? Don't think so.

@MegaDeathwarrant one of these days someone will knock you on your smart ass! it's just too bad it will not be me
I'd rather see the homeless in an RV than in a tarp tent. People lose their jobs and once the moneys gone, their homes usually go with it pretty quick. Most people are usually just a month or so from homelessness. Overnight parking sounds good but where do they park during the daytime? Here's a plan, have the city buy some land and turn it into a special RV park. Charge very low rent, just enough to cover costs of operating. Let the homeless who have RVs park there if they can.

Oh, people need to stop getting their panties in a wad about things looking so perfect. So what if someones home is one wheels. Give me a break.
