I know I'm a little late on this, but Happy 2010 everyone :D

Anyway, this song is from a 1990 NES game from Capcom called "Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight." Now, I know a lot of you are thinking, "Wait, there's another game in the series that I haven't heard about!?" Let me answer that for ya. No, the original Japanese version of this game has NOTHING to do with the fighting games that we all know and love. In fact, this game's not even a fighter. It's more like a platformer or sidescroller, something along the lines of "Mega Man" or "Ninja Gaiden" but not as memorable. The game came out about a year before "Street Fighter II," so I'm guessing that at the time, Capcom was trying to figure out what direction they should go before they make an actual sequel for the first game.

In my opinion, however, if you forget about the fact that this has "Street Fighter" in the title, it's actually a pretty decent game, not very good and not very bad, but it's okay. Though, out the entire game, it's the music that really stands out. Some of it is pretty damn weird, but then there are those songs that are so good that if they weren't in such an unknown title, I believe they could've been instant classics. But hey, it's Capcom, and how often did you not hear amazing music from them at the time?

The song I picked is my personal favorite out of the bunch. I picked the name "Desolate City" for my custom because of the environment you play through in that specific level (and I have a feeling that that there's a better chance of this song being removed from GH Tunes if I put the name of the game in the title). I also took some ideas from remixes of this song, including the one called "Blazing City Scape" which you'll find in my favorites as well as the original. The reason I decided to use "Guitar Hero: Van Halen" to make this custom song is because that I didn't own GH5 at the time I was making this (I do now and will make videos from that game as well in the future).

Well, I'm done talking, so I'll just shut up and let you watch this. Before I go, though, I'm just gonna say feel free to leave any comments on this song and the chart, whether you liked it or not or anything that you think can help improve this song and the chart. Just remember that this is GH Tunes, and the program's VERY limited.

  • Excellent job, Chris! Continue!

  • Thanks Mike!...............It's Justin. lol

  • Did you create this with a custom program?

  • I created the song and the chart with one of the features in the game called GH Tunes, where you can make the music and the note charts for the different parts from scratch. It's very limited and not worth it if you want to make high quality music, but it's good when you want to make your own charts and either don't want to or don't know how to hack into the game.

  • Damn... this was good. Though I would have liked it better with the orignal 8-bit, it still kicks ass!
