Bears attack camper, goat in Cimarron

philmont scout ranch near cimarron comes face to face with a bear today---and does something most of usould never think of----he punched the bear right in the face. the retired teacher in his 60's didn't want to talk to us about his encounter---but i did talk to someone else from the boy scouts tonight who described what happened. he and one of our other staff members were sleeping inside a building with windows open so they could get some fresh air about 6am they heard their goat screaming, the goat's name is ezmerelda "our staff member said he's a stubborn advocate of goats" he went up to it, the andrenaline was flowing and he gave it a left jab to to the side of the face and the bear went oompf... and climbed up a tree anderson says the bear eventually came down from the tree... and then had a face off with some burros
