This is an excerpt from the Official Day service of the 77th Holy Convocation (1984) of The Church of God in Christ, Incorporated in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Mattie Moss Clark is directing the choir and Twinkie is on the organ, ministering as only they could.

  • @4678 I couldn't agree more. Thanks for your observations. Dr. Clark had a way with choirs and musicians which will, undoubtedly, leave an indelible impression on the lives and hearts of many forever.

  • Simply Beautiful! They are singing this song with clarity and understanding. So many of our songs today are but mere rythymn and movement, and without clarity and understanding of the words because of the "LOUD" music. But singing has its IMPACT when it is clearly understood. Oh Lord! may the days of yester-year once again appear. No, we cannot live in the past, but we can certainly emulate those and practice those things that are profitable and exemplify Holiness in all its majesty. Amen!

  • @4676eckjr I couldn't agree more.

  • I like how Dr. Clark can just take a song and give it a whole new feeling. I love this post and it sounds like a great praise break was about to follow.

  • @jamminondakeys Oh yes...a praise was about to break forth, but Bishop Husband cut it off. LOL!

  • HI, where did get this clip from? I have been trying to find older COGIC videos from 1984-1986. My parents say I song a solo... Yes Lord! at the Sunshine Band hour when I was 2 in Memphis and I was trying to find those videos...any help would be appreciated

  • My church in Philly would kill this song! I love it!!!

  • @iluvdorinda Did you really mean that about Bishop Husband?

  • that looked like Dr. Iris Stevenson standing up behind Dr. Clark @ the end! Oh, our COGIC music department heritage!

  • Just great and Twinkie was playing that organ! Thanks for posting!
