  • I am trying to find out how reliable the western blot test is. Anyone know how accurate it is or how common it might be for it to come back a false negative?

  • @donotweep I had one it works fine. I think there were 2 markers in 2 bands.

yours may differ. you may be affected by comorbidities as well as many of the other bacteria besides Lyme in the bites that can cause yeast infections, mussel and joint pain, and so on.

  • @donotweep False negatives are common with any Borrelia test. At best ~20% false negative rate. Western blot sensitivities vary greatly between labs, igenex is the best option for this test. Advanced Laboratory Services have in the last few months begun a culture/PCR test which is supposed to be very reliable. Both options might be good, and if you strongly suspect Lyme but get a negative, don't let that put you off. Diagnosis is clinical, test results are only supportive.

  • I am from Seattle and I have neuro-LD and it is hard to find help that really works.

  • Look up this video on youtube and you will know what to do (copy and paste): “HemoPyrrol-Lactam-uria (HPU), Lyme disease and autism presented by Dietritch Klinghardt, MD”! It is a phenomenal lecture given by Dr. Klinghardt!
