i swear no matter what i do i cannot start a freakin circle

I've read instructions so many times for making one of these. And NONE of them made enough sense. But your videos always seem to make the most confusingly worded stitches and tricks seem obvious and easy. It's pretty much due to your tutorials that I've learned everything I know about crochet. Thank you so much.

Ugh, i'm so confussseedddddd. I can get past the wrapping it around my hand, and pulling te string through, but i have now idea how to do a chain THROUGH the loop! I mean, what string are you trying to chain with?! Ughhhh, my head hurts -.-

I love this! I like this especially because you used the rope which makes it so much easier to see! I now use this all the time but struggle often but now I won't because you made it so clear!
Thank you thank you thank you!!

my pattern says "magic circle 6" what does that mean?

Thanks very much for this video! Just a quick question - would you usually sew up the closing of the magic circle or will it stay closed by itself? It seems quite secure to me. I'm using it for amigurumi stuffed animals and up until now I have been using a chain and sewing it up to keep it from opening.

@eavancork You can wait until you are sure everything is correct but you will want to knot and secure the beginning with this technique or it will come apart.

is the technique the same for all stitches?

@pegschr It will be the same if you choose to use it with starting a round. Some instructions may have you starting with a chain. You can use the magic circle to replace the chain if you feel it will work. This is an example of flexibility in crochet.

Very confusing, I was going to do the cookie but didn't know how to do the magic circle. Is there another way to do the circle or an easier way to do the magic circle?

@KitKatKaitlin97 The magic circle is a replacement for the chain. When your instructions tell you to start with a chain and join or a magic circle, you can use either one of them.
