Professional-quality live video of very early Replacements, from right around the time their first LP ("Sorry, Ma") was released. Shot at Twin/Tone label showcase on Sept 5th '81 at 7th St. Entry, MPLS. "Johnny's Gonna Die" meaning Johnny Thunders (NY Dolls), of course. Taken from Twin/Tone web site.

  • Is that at the Uptown?

  • @realchildofhell ~ Nah, it's at the 7th St Entry, at a showcase that Twin/Tone put on. Husker Du and one other band (Neglectors) played that day.

  • It's a little known fact that Phil Collins was in this band for 2 months until the bassist found out he was sleeping with his sister and he was forced to leave the group.

  • R.I.P. BOB with a 6 pack of heineken.

  • I thought I had another tab open with music playing.

  • thanks again, dude, and still love the fact that you use "squirrel bait" as your name. take care and keep them coming. i miss these days!

  • God! I wish I could have been a part of the American Hardcore scene.

  • This song always gives me chills

Here in the 612, we'd cut your head off, stuff your pencil-neck full of rotten lutefisk (hell, rotten or fresh...doesn't much matter), and feed your corpse to the crows for such blasphemy. My guess is the Mr. Collins diddled you at some point, and your revenge is invoking that untalented hack's name wherever you can. Therapy, guy... just consider it.

  • RIP Bob

  • The Replacements could be irreverent and emotional at the same time, This is a moving tribute to a great rock guitarist.

  • Good memory.

  • @dgdinner Complete, utter nonsense. The Replacements would never have a talentless old fuck like Phil Collins in the band.

  • lulz
