The Gold Crown Resort membership sold by Global Resorts Network provides members with access to about 5000 resorts while a competitor with a U S based travel membership gives their members access to over 5400 resorts starting at just $149 a week for luxury timeshare condo vacations.

The U S based membership from a competitor provided access to over 1000 all-inclusive resorts while Gold Crown Resort and Global Resorts Network remain silent about the number available with their membership. The bottom line is that if you want the larger selection of resorts and the larger selection of all-inclusive resorts, the (Gold Crown Resort) membership sold by Global Resorts Network (GRN) is not the best choice.

The U S based competitor of (Global Resorts Network and Gold Crown Resort offer a VIP Concierge service that has not been matched by GRN. Members can simply call in and tell and agent where they want to go and when. All details are handled for members of the U S based membership but not for members who purchase Gold Crown Resort Memberships through reps of Global Resorts Network.

Members who buy a lifetime membership with (Gold Crown Resort) through a Global Resorts Network affiliate will pay about $3000. That's about $1000 more than a lifetime membership with the U S travel membership company.

Gold Crown Resort was established in 1986 and Global Resorts Network entered pre-launch in 2006 while the U S based travel membership company was established in 1982 and now has over 140,000 active members.

Global Resorts Network does not actually own a travel membership. They simply have acquired the rights to sell one that is administered by Gold Crown Resort. This is similar to the arrangement a Toyota retailer has with the company that actually builds Toyota vehicles. The Toyota retailer generally does not have enough influence over the manufacturer to make design changes.

The relationship between Global Resorts Network and Gold Crown Resort has spelled problems for Alfonso Morales, Chuck Tomlin and GRN Affiliates. As Global Resorts Network faces competition from a U S owned and based membership company, they desperately need a product that is more user friendly to Americans. The Gold Crown Resort vacation club membership they sell is designed for the members Gold Crown Resort has overseas. Global Resorts Network does not have control over the memberships usability. Gold Crown Resorts has more members living overseas and will continue to strive to make the membership a good choice in their core markets and the United States is not their core market.

In an attempt to compete, Global Resorts Network has done what they can to keep from loosing more of their market share in the home based travel business industry.
Since they cannot change Gold Crown Resort policies, they have done what they can do with their compensation plan.
