thanks! I know you can accidentally stick yourself, i just don't want to stick myself while i put it in the sharps container, ha. I do recap them for that reason. I agree, doctors and med professionals should not, but i recap, it does keep me from sticking myself, as I am clumsy sometimes! New sharps container won't fit the syringes, just needles. I will say in 3.5+ yrs, i have gotten stuck ONCE from the needle after the fact & not from recapping it. It was a TINY scratch. thx :)

The only thing I would say is that recapping needles especially when giving someone else a shot is a really bad idea because it increases the likelihood that you will accidentally stick yourself with the needle. That is why you never see medical professionals recap their needles. Not as big of a danger when you are giving one to yourself, but you still want to avoid accidental sticks. ~Mo
