  • Awesome! I'm wondering, why did you choose to go with Makerbot electronics vs. what Techzone has available?

  • @stacyjo1121 @stacyjo1121 Because I love ladyada's Adafruit store and product, excellent tutorials, and service as good as Amazon Prime. Before starting the Mendel I bought several of her kits: Arduino, Motor Party, tools, and then another motor party. All of that to make sure that I liked the Arduino programming environment and the nature of the work. Look, here at the stenciled names: reprap.org/wiki/File:Mothership.jpg

  • @mrta921 @mrta921 No complete prints yet I have some problems, mostly with my lack understanding of Skeinforge. Haven't done any work on it in several weeks as I'm taking it apart for modifications: MakerBot Mk. 5 extruder drive; Bowden (remote mount) extruder to more than double Z-axis height; heated bed; full "star" grounding; shielding of all wires.

I have also successfully put MakerBot electronics, with their Nema 23s, on a K2CNC 14145 to create a MillStrap. Will post video of that soon.
