I just used what I know. Although if anyone wants to suggest an easy to use, scriptable vector graphics program for linux, I'd be interested in hearing about it. The ones I've used don't usually work how I'd expect.

My point in bringing up Newton is that the solar system is not actually heliocentric, it is geokinetic. Everything orbits around everything else. It just happens that the sun is by far the most massive body, so the amount the sun moves due to the gravity of the other celestial bodies is very small, to the point of being negligible.

Can you do one based on the Tycho Brahe system ?.. he was the geniu sof them all and doesn't get mentioned as he was a firm believer in Geocentricity which A-centricity now confirms that the Earth can be the center of the universe to save the false THEORY of heliocentricity ! You've implied that you believe Tycho Brahe's system is correct. That is quite an unusual point of view. What leads you to that conclusion? And what do you think of Isaac Newton's law of universal gravitation and universal laws of motion?

@tkoizumi Sun worship is a religion - so by professing your belief in heliocentricity you're also supporting that religion. By definition the "Theory of Evolution" is a religion - would you not support that either? Why would you think that science and God are mutually exclusive? Do you not see the order in the universe and marvel? Do you think all this order came from randomness? The word "science" means "to know" - the more you study "science" the more you will come to know God.

@Cnidarious: It is, in fact, easy to prove that the earth travels around the sun annually. Spectrographic measurements of any number of stars show that the color shift always contains a sinusoidal element imposed on whatever other movement may be happening, which varies on exactly an annual basis. The size of the shift verifies the orbital speed of the earth around the Earth-sun common center of gravity.

TheUnnamedGent: Do you have any information on the size of the epicycles? Are the ones you use in this animation of the right sizes (that is, the sizes used for computations around the time of Copernicus)? I've been unable to find figures for the sizes.

@Libre333 According the christian bibles there are 7 heavens. John the Revelator (author of the book of Revelations) saw the 7 heavens.

It funny because according to the Quran there are 7 heavens, 41:12. The earth is flat 18:83-86. Stars are dots, not suns, 67:5. Very scientific!
