ediklara: Like I told your sons, don't let the negativity of others bother you, they're not worth it. People tend to jump to conclusions before they know the facts. I am the mother of a drowning victim.(Thanks to a babysitter) But anyone who is a parent knows that you CAN'T watch your children every second of the day and night. And anyone who claims they can are liares. For instance, I don't know any parents who take their kids to the bathroom or shower with them. I don't.

@fox577577 I'm so sorry for your loss. It's amazing (in a bad way) how people are so quick to point the finger, without looking at the entire scenario.

I saw this as a six-year-old and I was so scared about it that I think I had nightmares. Some other kids in kindergarten had just said that all the cool kids watch Rescue 911 so I wanted to be one of them. I also remember another episode where a dog got stuck in a ventilation shaft or something and his head was just sticking out and I thought they were going to cut the head off to get him out of there. XD

Yes, except for the ones that say "Footage Taped on [date]" at the bottom of the screen, or when Shatner says, "This story is not a re-creation."

ive allways wondered are theses actors or are these the people who actually whent threw it

The emergency workers are almost always the real people. The victims and family members are sometimes played by actors, and other times they play themselves. They quit specifying this after the first season, so the only way to get an idea is to compare the people in the re-enactments with how they look in the interviews.
