This video explains how genetic medicine, nanotechnology, bioprinting, cryonics and several other developments may in future be used to increase the human lifespan.

More information can be found at http://explainingthefuture.com/life.html, or across several chapters of my book "25 Things You Need to Know About the Future". This is published by Constable in January 2012 -- for more details see http://explainingthefuture.com/25things

  • you should become an author!

  • @TheWebMan2010 I am an author! Seven books and counting . . . See me video here called "25 Things You Need to Know About the Future" for more info on my latest book.

  • This video is perfect for my facebook page called living young forever - check out my blog also with the same name... :-)

  • @CalumnMcAulay Excellent!

  • @DK0526 You seem to be really into cryonics; maybe you can direct me to a few good books about it?

  • @aprox23 I've read around a lot on the websites of those companies that provide the service -- search for Alcor Life Extension Foundation and the Cryonics Institute. I've not read any books specifically about cryonics for years -- though go cover it a little in my own forthcoming (Jan 2012) book "25 Things You Need to Know About the Future"! :-)

  • @ExplainingTheFuture Sir, I am glad to see a realist who can still dream. Maybe there is not everything lost, after all.

  • I love your videos, you explain everything so well!

  • I love this video! Thanks! It gives some good advice, like the cron diet. I'm not sure about uploading the mind to a cyber world because isn't that just making a copy of yourself, rather than extending the life of your actual self? If you wanted to make a copy of yourself that would be a cool thing to do though!

  • @tenchidbz You sure can't, since there's no such thing, Capt. Obvious!

  • I like the last option, I wanna live on 4chan forever!

  • in the future computer crashes will be fatal to your life

  • why is he singing?
