  • @mahakoushik i have been thinking about creating an actual earth model inside of the desktop cube.. just like those cube gears and the compiz aquariums. That way you have full opengl freedom and can do any effect

  • Linux jusqu'ou irez-vous?

  • Hey ive just got a few questions for you...

1.What theme are you using? it looks very professional

2.Have you released the images that you used to make the globe? or where can i find the original?

  • FUckingg cooooooooooool

pls gine us a good tutorial about that how we can do that?

  • BTW, I don't know if you have done this already, but a cool way to extend this is to make the light and dark side move around as time passes by (alternatively have the desktop wallpapers rotate) by using a screenlet. That would be the coolest clock ever!

  • This is very awesome! Couple of questions, if you don't mind:

    1. Where did you get the skydome (with the cool lens flare)?

    2. The light and dark sides of the globe are part of images or is the light effect rendered somehow (I see how to make the cube reflect on the bottom of the skydome but not this),
