Yes, there's a reason why the frogs sang. Adrian de la Touche was the voice of the frog narrator, sadly dubbed over by James Earl Jones. Why? Big name billing, I would say.

The female crow was also dubbed over because she channelled a black stereotype. The outdated punk crows? Not sure, but even if they weren't dubbed over, it's unlikely most of its target audience would get it anyway.
