It takes good musicians to be this entertaining at being "bad". The Bozo's were the best!

Brilliant talents, all. God bless Vivian, may we meet again in your heaven.

this is just so good. been listening to them for years. Viv is a natural front man! Sadly missed now though, he was a genius!!
-
Spike Jones and the City Slickers may have influenced them all. Who cares it's all great entertainment.

Don't get me wrong, Syphy - I love the Bonzos and this live performance is excellent but FZ was (and still is) way ahead of everyone in every way. Also I am British and proud of it.

@adamg709 Sounds a bit like quibbling to me. The Bonzos and Frank both were originals and Viv Stanshall and Roger Ruskin Spear are great British orignials and should be national treasures. Arguments over who influenced whom strike me as rather sad. I'm just very grateful to know that this performance- loose as it is- survives

Best guitar solo ever!
-
They were influenced by Zappa - not the other way 'round, as exemplified by Neil Innes singing a bit of 'Dog Breath' between numbers on this performance.
-
@JayniDean No Way. Zappa was NOT influenced by these guys at all...he predates them.

ohh ventricles.....be still
The world is a sadder place without Viv about the place.

Truly splendiferous. Vivian will forever be my idol/idle/addle/fiddle.
