Song from Baroness 'Red Album'. Enjoy!

Save your soul
It's bright with holes
Rays on pinion
Lay me down

Our trust lies in mighty wing
As we thrust ourselves into the drink
Pitched boats sail and ploughmen toil
To drift on and work the soil

Stow your gaze
Away these waves
Stain reflection
May we drown

This is our last goodbye
This is our final cry
This separation of bird and bone
Is an introduction to tide and lung

We've resigned ourselves to soar home
Despite these wayward rays

  • I'd really like Baroness to release an instrumental album some day. I don't really like the singer's vocals either, but their instrumental sections are fire through and through.

  • @squizz222 Hmm I agree and disagree with you there. Their instrumentals are amazing and there is no doubting their technical ability. But I think his vocals are fine. It's just that they are different. In my opinion they fit perfectly with the music. It adds to the sludgy dirty feel but with a nice bit of melody. Perfect combination. But I suppose the great thing is, for people such as you who don't enjoy the vocals as much, that there is more instrumental parts than parts with singing

  • @oWhoadYo Both bands are amazing. What's your point?

  • @oWhoadYo Ummmm ok... I appreciate you don't like Baroness. But if you don't like them, don't listen to them and let the people who do like them enjoy it

  • Baroness experience, just close your eyes and fly

  • Hell Yeah!

  • The vocals are fine. Baroness is on the periphery of rock and metal, and the vocals do the style of music justice I think. The aesthetic qualities of all their albums have been largely due to the style of singing! I imagine getting my nephews and nieces high for the first time in my basement apartment in a few years, trying on my old clothes, and blasting Baroness.

  • Their vocals are fine, they fit very well with the music, their music is more melodic but the vocals add the necessary harsh edge. In simple terms they rock!

  • @Oneyearwarpilot i agree 100%, nowadays people think of music as a competition of skill or listen to whatever's popular

  • fuckin love this band

  • @oWhoadYo It's sad really because Sleep and Electric Wizard are such great bands but judging by the comments on your channel you are turning people off from them by being so negative and insulting other bands.

  • What happened to listening to what you like any more now everyone spends more time insulting what they don't instead of listening to what they do like.

  • what the hell does kyuss have to do with baroness? (this song may recall a bit of apothecarys weight in the begining, but it has a very diferent mood and generaly speaking is nothing alike). LOL facepalm. Kyuss is one of my favorite bands but this is great too.

  • The vocals are one of my favorite things about the band.
