Highlights of Miyazu include a Shinto procession, the pine-strewn sandbar of Amanohashidate, houses on stilts in a Tango peninsula fishing village, and the "singing" sand of Kotobikihama. Culinary delights include scrumptious eggs soft-boiled in natural hot spring water and okonomiyaki, a Hiroshima specialty. Lastly, pious pilgrims visit Itsukushima Shrine, which is elevated off of the surface of holy Miyajima Island. (Video courtesy of USP-Ananda-Ampersand.)
