This is a super-easy way to knit thrums into your mitten or slipper project. It's my first thrum project and I'm not finding it hard at all!
It's as simple as this: Drop your working yarn. Insert your needle to knit. Use a 2 inch piece of unspun wool instead of yarn to knit the stitch. Pick your yarn back up for the next stitch, and knit on. On the next row/round, knit the thrums like regular stitches and give a little tug on the tails to tighten-up your thrums :)

  • Very nice. Thank's for the wonderful explanation and video. Well done.

  • Thank you for the great video your instructions beautifully clear and easy to follow. Your mitts look fantastic by the way. Do you think that you could thrum any mitten or slipper pattern? I guess they would have to be over sized to make room for the thrum.
